Our Team (see the Family of Churches tab for our larger team of All Nations pastors)

  • Steve Rasmussen - Lead Pastor

Steve and his family love the multicultural family of BCF because they are immigrants born in Minnesota. In 2017, BCF called Steve back from his Nairobi, Kenya, home to serve as the Lead Pastor in his home church. Steve first came to BCF during his college/seminary years, participated for 4 years, pastored for 5 years, and then was sent out as a missionary. In 1995, BCF sent his family to "Train East African Ministers" (TEAM), which Steve continues to direct today. After training pastors in Swahili in Tanzania for 13 years, they moved to Kenya where Steve taught missions to graduate students from 30 nations. They love and continue to learn from the many nations in BCF's multicultural family. Their twenty-something children work and study from Nairobi to Chicago. Steve earned a PhD in Intercultural Studies from Trinity International University and MDiv and BA from Bethel University. He has written articles for journals, books, blogs, and the Africa Study Bible. Steve and his wife Janice enjoy people, deep conversations, and being active in creation. Send him an email.

  • Andrew Gross - ASSOCIATE Pastor

Andrew is originally from Portland, Oregon. He started attending BCF way back in 1991 because he needed a church he could walk to from Macalester College. Since then he's been a part of almost every kind of ministry imaginable at BCF, including service on the elder board (beginning in 2004 through the present) and interim youth minister (2008-2011). Andrew earned a Masters of Divinity at Bethel Seminary in 2012. Since the fall of 2014, he has served as the church's Director of Discipleship, receiving full ordination as Pastor of Discipleship in January of 2016. Beginning in March of 2017 he was recognized as Associate Pastor and co-leads our pastoral team.  Andrew's other job is as a free-lance editor and writer. Send him an email.
